NTEA Expands ‘Green’ Focus

ST. LOUIS -- The National Truck Equipment Association announced that it has formed a division to expand the market among its members for green truck applications.

The Green Truck Association will assist fleets, manufacturers, upfitters, government agencies and industry groups with regulatory and industry news developments, NTEA said Tuesday in an announcement at the Green Truck Summit held here in conjunction with the trade group’s annual conference and Work Truck Show exposition. The NTEA represents commercial truck and equipment manufacturers, distributors and upfitters.

“As interest and demand for green products continues to grow within the work truck industry, we are positioning the Association and our members to provide the support and insight needed to drive ongoing technology improvements and increase awareness of real-world applications,” Andrew Outcalt, NTEA president and president of Meyer Products and Swenson Spreader, Cleveland, Ohio, said in a release.
