Inside, the center stack was moved 2.6 inches closer to the driver for better access.
The Tundra maintains the same three powertrains. The 4.0-liter dual overhead cam V6 is standard on Tundra Regular and Double Cab models and is rated at 270 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque.
It is paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. The two V-8 engines – the 4.6-L (310/327 ratings) and the 5.7-L (381/401 ratings) dual overhead cam i-Force engines are offered in both gasoline or flex fuel versions. Both are standard with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
When equipped with a tow package, Tundra has a maximum tow capacity of 10,400 pounds (4x2 Regular Cab).
The truck will offer a backup camera as standard on all models. All models also will feature the standard Toyota Star Safety System that includes Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), and Smart Stop (SST) brake override technology.
